Strand Poetry Slam

To celebrate National Poetry Month, the Strand has partnered with Cristin O'Keefe Aptowicz, the author of Words in Your Face; A Guided Tour Through Twenty Years of The New York City Poetry Slam, who will curate a Poetry Slam-inspired reading at the Strand with NYC poets, including Taylor Mali, author of What Learning Leaves and John S. Hall, of King Missile fame. The reading will open with poetry from NYC youth Poetry Slam organization, Urban Word.
